Winnie the Pooh is the children’s book character that has captured the imagination as well as the heart of young children and indeed their parents as well, across the world. Initially drafted in 1926 as the creative brain child of the world renowned children’s literalist and author A.A. Milne, one of the most remarkable feats that the Winnie the Pooh series has managed to achieve is how relevant and fresh it has stayed to the modern audience. Written almost a century ago, Winnie the Pooh and his collection of his lovable friends still delight people even to this very day, being favoured in favour of other more modern offerings.
Online coloring pages are a great and free way to entertain your children. In today’s advanced technological world it’s so easy to find this activity in the Internet. Many websites offer free coloring pages. All you need is just a computer, Internet access and a printer. For the last few years kid’s coloring pages printed from the Internet have become an very serious competitor to the coloring books purchased in the store. Now you don’t need to pick one of the various themes to buy for your child. You can get it all. Nowadays nearly every animated cartoon character has a website with free printables or coloring pages as a bonus.
Most homes will have coloring pencils or crayons. In my house we also have glitter pens, foam pens and most importantly paints for the kids to select between. Using paints will require a little bit more setup time as you may need to clear an area and lay newspapers down over the table to protect it.No matter how old the child is they can still take part. My youngest cant keep the page steady so I stick it down with some sellotape and she can then take part!Once they are done, we often grab our child safe scissors and cut out the figures on the pages. From there we have the choice of putting them up around the house or adding them into a scrapbook. Trust me once they start scrapbooking these, you will end up with loads of books full of pictures which you will treasure more and more as they grow up. I intend to try and embarrass my kids with these on their future wedding days!Another idea is to take the cut out characters and add them into a new scene of your making. Get a bigger blank piece of paper and stick them in to make an action packed scene, or as my youngest calls it, "A Party!".
How many of us parents have more than one child, and then have to contend with a civil war that breaks out whenever a toy is given to one child and not the other? If you give Winnie the Pooh free coloring pages to one child, you run the risk of incurring the righteous wrath of the other and so to that end then, you can use the online Winnie the Pooh coloring pages booklet to avoid such potential complications.
